FAQ

Will there be food?
There will be food! We’re still ironing this out, but we’re working with some of our favorite NY restaurants to make sure there’s good, plentiful food. Stephen’s always hungry.

Should I come hungry and/or how should I plan my meals?
Have lunch, and if you’re a hungry boy/girl, a snack before you get there. Otherwise we’re planning to have enough food for everyone.

Stephen here. My plan is roughly this: I will have a few eggs, maybe some potatoes and a bit of fruit at breakfast. Around 12:30 I’m going to do a large salad with a good amount of chicken, and maybe some grains. I expect I’ll be hungry again around 3:30 so I’ll

So what can I expect?
The schedule looks roughly like this:
4pm: Guests arrive, ceremony (Prosecco served)
5pm: “Cocktail” hour (Enough time for you to get and have a drink)
6pm: Food starts (It’s going to be a buffet, so you can get as much as you like)
9:45pm: Open bar ends, cash bar begins
10pm: Doors open and Kinfolk becomes the afterparty.

Will there be seating?
There is seating for about 40 people, and we will have a couple high-tops, but you should expect to do some standing. Of course, if you need accommodations Kinfolk and we will make sure you have them.

Will there be an afterparty?
Open bar will end around 9:45pm. At 10pm the doors to Kinfolk will open to the general public, and we’ll stick around as long as we want. We aren’t allowed to have any guests not on our open-bar tally, but if someone’s meeting you we can ask about getting them let in a bit early.

What’s this about a Friday lunch?
We’re doing a luncheon celebrating our legal marriage with some of our relatives and friends who’re less enthused about a dance-party wedding at a bar.

Are kids invited?
We invite kids under 4 to join us at Cafe Altro Paradiso, and for the ceremony portion of the Kinfolk.
